Dark Matter Audio: Guitar FX Device Customer Survey

Dark Matter Audio (DMA) is developing next generation FX devices and digital tools for guitarists and musicians.

The first product to use this technology is currently called ‘The Thunderbug’, a  compact device which has:

  • 1/4" input & output sockets for guitar cables
  • A Colour Screen (iPhone size)
  • Control Buttons and Dials
  • Onboard SD card memory
  • USB connectivity to launch a web browser - no software installation necessary.

The Thunderbug will be available to purchase from music stores, online retailers and the DMA website. Once the user has bought the device they can play with it straight out of the box as it will come pre-loaded with a library of basic FX (distortion, tremolo, reverb, chorus, flanger, etc.) but the customer will also be able to download new software FX and applications to run on the device.

Current ideas include:
  • Loop Maker
  • Drum Machine
  • Recording Suite
  • Chord & Scale Database
  • Tab Database
  • Games
  • Animated Tutorials

The DMA website will not just be an online store, we intend to grow a community of musicians and users of DMA products. They will be able to:
  • Create User Profiles (similar to Facebook)
  • Upload/Download Photos and MP3s
  • Embed video content from other sites
  • Showcase their Unsigned Band
  • Locate other members in their local area for jam nights and collaborative projects
  • Post & Review local gigs

Hello!

Thank you for taking the time to read and fill out this survey. It really is important for us that we develop an innovative product that is useful and exciting for our customers - without your participation we wouldn't be able to do this, so please have your say and help us develop the right product for you.

You will see that a lot of the questions are mandatory - this is only so that we can get the maximum amount of useful information possible, so that we can make the best product possible. It will only take a few minutes, and you may win a prize worth hundreds of pounds.... you know it makes sense.

The first 50 respondents to this survey will recieve £20 store credit with DMA.
